Wheels and tyres TVR 3000M
Discussion
Gentlemen,
I have a 3000M with the original T slot wheels and 185 14inch tires.
i have changed the shockabsorbers to a set of EVO fully ajustable ones wich made the handeling improve massively, but now its up to the wheels and tires.
Can some one tell me wich setup is the best for a 3000M? I already tried some layouts but the wheels rub the arches, or the exhaust is scraping the tarmac.
Or, wich tyres are the best suited for the original T slot wheels, ( i will be doing a trackday on these tyres)
Thanks in advance

In all fairness as with all cars TVR are no exception move from the OE sizes especially down and you will have issues with ride height and also the overall look and stance of the car.
195/70/14 is what a lot are using although hard to find a tyre in the speed rating I have Fulda Carot Asuro which are great but not made anymore I am sure others will be along with alternatives.

205/60 are a long way out, nearly 8%,from the original rolling radius, making the car significantly lower geared and putting the speedo out.
Majority will go for 195/70 ,and if you go to the Camskill tyres site you will see there are quite a few options in the H rating, for instance Uniroyal Rainexpert at a reasonable price.

Absolutely, but, the op was after ideas of tyre sizes for track days. The 205x60x14 is a compromise that I found livable for road and better on track than the standard size ( although still a bit tyre wall roly).Majority will go for 195/70 ,and if you go to the Camskill tyres site you will see there are quite a few options in the H rating, for instance Uniroyal Rainexpert at a reasonable price.
The lower gearing is not to bad in real life and probably better for most tracks.
Just my experience.
