if you want to be the first person to spend £130k building and restoring a griffith then i suppose its great!!

Cars cost pretty much what they cost to restore..The trouble with todays world is the scrap dealer wants to make a massive profit for dragging some st in from a hedgerow.
Too many people don't want to put in a days work anymore!!

Hi John
Certainly looks a great car the car has been discussed here before when it was on e bay
The car is worth what ever someone is willing to pay only in this case the seller seems to think the car is worth what he wants them to pay and there seems to be a big gap between the two figures.
Andrew
PS Love your 3000s still the nicest looking convertible TVR ever built IMOP

If it wanted light restoration as in some fairly serious recommissioning, I can kind of see it at that price.

Sadly it needs a total rebuild and therefore does not stack up.

Is something "worth" what someone will pay? I would say no, some gullible idiot with too much cash paying 125k does not make it worth that.. All IMO etc

Agree, and seems to be the general consensus that it is way overpriced, for its condition, if had been concours, maybe. I came across it by accident, thinking it would go for around low forties, but $125K, I fell out of my chair. I have better places to invest that sort of hard earned change. I apologize for the retread advert notice, but what was the highest amount bidders on ebay were willing to fork out for it?

Andrew Gray, Thank you, yes, I agree, I really like the 3000S, and you can find them still reasonably priced, and in very good condition.

Getting harder to find good ones these days some owners haven't even driven them for over 10 yet tend to hang onto them so even restoration project are fetching good money.
