Well now it's Winter, so the time to refresh the seats in my 3000S.
This looks like it's going to be an interresting projectlaugh
here's some photos

Iv'e got some seat foams from Adrian but they seem different no honeycome holes we will seecool
BUT one thing i can say the replacement secondhand foams FOR THE BACKS from Rejan are EXACTLY the same DUNLOP REME94-328 90723
The ORIGINAL foam for the CUSHIONS has like honeycome holes and has hessian jute stuck to the bottom face to protect from the rubber bands.

the Foams from Adrian look a much better quality than the originals.
I have just ordered some rubber web strapping to replace the old ones and also some new high quality Hessian Jute. Job to do in the New year. The seats will also be covered in Leathercool

I was wondering about the rubber strapping i have ordered and maybe it would be better to put rubber squabs as used on TR6 Triumphs. Perhaps it could give better support to foam cushions.
Has someone tried this please. Any information would be usefull.
thanks

Hi Alan,
I have wire mesh (cheescutter) type bases on my 3000s seats as per modern TVR's. However, my trimmer has inserted fabric between the wire bases and foam to avoid cutting into the foam as happens on the modern seats. I can send you photos, but will not be home until January.

Cheers,
Jim

thanks Jimi,
when you can get round to sending a photo it would be nice to see.
For sure i will glue Hessian Jute to protect the new foams.
The covers seem not too difficult to attach with glue and clips to frames. No Hog Rings were used. I have Leather seat kits from Lakeside to fit

this is what someone had done to shore up the knackered rubber webbing. 4 layers of foam between webbing and Hessian

Hi Alan,

The seats look great! Who is the leather seat cover supplier (Lakeside, in Belgium?)?

Thanks,

John

No, "LAKEWELL" is supplier. I am very happy with the quality and service.
They are identified as for a TVR 3000M but they fit my TVR 3000S perfectly.
I also replaced the webbing support which i bought from Woolies. I cut the webbing to length and attached ends using Hogrings to support rods. I think it would also be possible to fit seat support squabs for a Triumph TR6.
