Hi, would any PH members know what car make and year the original chrome wing mirrors of the 3000S were from, or better yet, anyone out there have set of new or nice used set they might be willing to negotiate an adoption to a new home? My current set swivel wildly in the wind, does not seem to be any way to adjust the tightness of the ball joint inside the mirror. Anyone restore one, or is it the replacement the only route available? Thank you.

for me the mirrors are TEX and on my car i put the 45°plinth/spacer on the passenger side so when the sidescreen is in place you can still see something.

That's what I have and they certainly work well and the plinth certainly does help if driving with the side screens on you can get Black or Chrome The Black may well work rather well with the black car

Andrew, currently I have black units and they look very similar to the TEX units you and plasiticpig72 refer to. You can see them on the car if you click SquashedCat, there is a photo of the car with the current mirrors. Thank you and plasticpig72 for supplying name of the manufacturer, much appreciated.
