Would these be suitable for my 71'74' engined 2500 Vixen? And what questions i will need to ask before purchase. Thinking ahead here and thought these could be a good buy.
regards.

First question I would ask myself is "A: do I want to build my engine using reasonably priced known (proven) quality product or B:use the cheapest components I can source" If B then I would google said supplier and read their reviews by others. And then, if continuing with "B" I would establish what needs to be done in the event you want to make a warranty claim, what is actually covered (consequential costs for new block etc?) and how you would enforce any redress on the supplier..............You get what you pay for "emptor cavete". smile

Made in China. I do agree with what you pay for but others from another UK suplier is asking for £900 to £1200 plus. Thats why I thought it was a good price.
Car is just not worth it. Has anyone sent their rods off for inspection/ polish etc? Im not an engineer, so the rebuild with some help will be the most i can do. Ispection of parts by an experianced eye is well worth it i think.

What kind of 2.5 engine are you building? Are you going racing?
If not then what is wrong with the existing rods with new bolts???

They are overkill, unless you are building a serious racing engine. From memory, you weren't going to go with a wild cam, or a "serious as a heart attack" induction system.

Here's a whole topic about them and the trouble they've had.

In the end you might be cheaper off with the 900UKP ones....
