He returns! He speaks! Car club webmasters fed up yet or was it just something I'd heard wrong!
What the learned Prideaux is so helpfully referring to in terms of information he was provided with many moons ago by folk on this forum is that whilst a close match, The complete automobilist ones are not exactly the same. They can be used quite successfully but the ones from the complete automobilist are flat whereas the originals have a very slight curvature rolled in them to match the profile of the flitch. You can very gently roll these ones to get a slight curve and they would be very authentic when fitted onto the correct car. The dims may be slightly different but most purists wouldn't notice or mind.
What is silly is going to the trouble of having some made as a one off to a pattern set purchased at great cost then fitting them into the wrong vehicle!
So whilst our prideaux once upon a time knew fk all and had to ask on here and receive the same information being passed now, He seems to have developed a font of wisdom in the form of the statement "No. Wrong."
BIT OUT OF ORDER NEIL
Really helpful Mr Gray. Nice to see you helping a guy out.
Bought any M badges recently?

Maye if the original poster set his profile to allow e mails he would have had the answer by now however some choose not to allow e mails hence they restrict the help they can receive.
We all start knowing nothing like myself but some learn faster than others depending on the there desire to learn or deciding to just do it wrong regardless.
If the OP wishes to Join the TVRCC Club there will be many there that will be more than happy to help
Andrew

For my ten penith, I think they are not nice to look at and left out of my rebuild of 200-5-017.
Even as a racer mine is cool in the footwells (cut back for the big exhaust outside the chassis rails), but it does have 2 or 3 layers of different heat shield built in around all the "Hot" areas.
