Essex V6 valve clearances COLD

Anyone have an idea what valve clearances should be when the engine is cold?
I can only find clearance settings for a warm engine and it would be convenient to have some sort of 'base setting' when cold.
Just replaced my head gaskets and it would be better to start with clearances that are as accurate as possible.

Is the OP running the std cam? High lift cams have bigger clearances.

Mine is fitted with piper HR270 cam and was advised by Piper I should set at 0.014" for both inlet and exhaust. So it does depend on the cam fitted.

And does it also depend on which Essex V6 you have? Zodiac Mk4 or Capri?
