There seems to be a few Tvr M series coming out of the woodwork over the past few months which is great to see. Lets hope the new owners get them back on the road again as it would be nice to see a few more around. Wonder how many are left in garages and barns etc.

Yeah thats the one. The pics do it a few favours but its quite good considering its not moved in 7 years. On the good side the chassis looks solid everywhere i can see.

The gamble is with the engine i dont even no if it turns over?

Wish me luck.

The engine is not a big issue as they are readily available and if you need any parts I have loads of essex engine parts cranks heads pistons blocks manifolds etc etc which Im happy to donate to a Tvr project. I you need any help or advice on your restoration here is a good place to ask.
Good luck with your project.

Chris

I'm probably way off with this but I'm wondering if your 3000M project might be my old car. Mine was chassis number 2555FM and was last heard of in Ireland.

I know of a 3000M that's been in a garage for 20 years. Result of a divorce and ownership struggle. It was immaculate in the early 90's having had loads of work done by a father and son. I have an image of it from way back when:

The father passed away last year, the son has no intention of getting back on the road and it sits in his mother's garage. I think eventually he'll sell it as it stands.

Thanks. I sold the car in 2003 but have no idea what happened to it after it went.

Well the red one did £4001 which I think is a very fair price from the description. I believe there is a long way to go with these cars values as they are still very under valued for such a rare and unique car. Good luck to the new owner and hopefully they will be a member here and post up some pictures and updates if their progress.

So quick update on the blue one had a quick poke about after work.

Put a battery on and the engine spins freely and the oil pressure comes up nicely.

But no spark at all. New coil and contactless ignition ordered. And well go from there.

I think the car was originally yellow. Can anyone tell from the chassis number?
The blue respray is quite poor.

The chassis its self looks remarkably good not even surface rust on the outriggers near the fron wheels

Inside its a bit damp and smelly but a new dash and carpets it will be fine. The seats are almost perfect much better nick than my last chim.

More to follow.

Keep.us up to date with tbe red one please

That one did well but it is in the best colour😎 and an early model. Will make a nice car for someone. Any other projects kicking about at the moment I know of a couple of people who would like a restoration project.

As im still waiting for my new electronic ignition kit to turn up i decided to fix a few other bits today.

We now have a horn, wipers, washers, indicators, and all the other lights apart from the brake lights working.

Also fixed the heater blower cooling fan and heated rear screen.

Fingers crossed the parts will arrive tomorrow and i can get it going.
