Re the shocks..I am still struggling with trying to get through to anyone at Spax that can give any answers on old OE part numbers and open and closed lengths...about 10 emails has got me through to the next tier of management..that have yet to reply!

Back onto this topic ...as this is of value to Grantura steering box cars (not Triumph racks) also (the OP has had a direct mail from a MK1 owner pointing him off to a supplier).
The issues on the OP's car is an where in full droop the steering arms bind, we have 3 cars that have broken the steering box castings which is possibly caused by the shock open length being wrong.

Information really as the OP knows, that I have found out....that will be updated I'm sure..
This is off a torsion Mk2a....the Koni 80-1042 believed to be off the fronts are 10 1/4 closed and 13 open...the Armstrong (no number as yet) is believed to be off the rear are 10 1/2 closed and 17 open..the Spax G45LL-164 are 12 open and 14 1/2 open.
Talked about today was an item, of interest, a matched 48 degree angle of the arms in full droop for setting the torsion bars.
The Armstrong number is 62-2910.

The Spax 164/037 (front) and 164/062 (rear) numbers are old numbers that are listed from around (pre net days!!) but I have yet to get Spax to give any information.

If anyone is interested in this subject, thanks to (RC and RS) a copy of the 'carded' test results from 1963 (in correspondence with one Mr Thurner at the factory, both in OE and competition settings) has been found complete with Rebound, blow off and bleed along with Bump, blow off and bleed...at this point a little too much information to throw out to any forum, (as the terms/ability to replicate the tech speak into current day tech speak to use this information on current day dynamometer), but I will sort it and post onto the International TVR Grantura facebook page.
