On the list they are Ransome And Marles. I always knew Ransomes as a kid as agricultural machinery makers!Missingbadly said:
It seems to be all mechanical/suspension/brakes/electrical. Some good stuff even down to BLMC Morris Oxford wiper rack. Looks like the catches were TVR?
I am not after them myself, I have now managed to get hold of a second hand pair, but I know that folks find them hard to track down, so I have kept an eye out to try and find the original source. Never found any other cars that use them, although the Anglia is close.Edited by Astacus on Saturday 31st January 16:12

Sadly this as useless as the Vixen parts list for current part numbers...rather good for wasting time.
I presume that there is copy on the TVRCC site as it's numbers/old school parts descriptions get referenced in phone calls often enough to confuse enough people.

Ah well that's what I thought. It's handy to have a Lucas etc part number though so if anyone wants a copy they are welcome.I presume that there is copy on the TVRCC site as it's numbers/old school parts descriptions get referenced in phone calls often enough to confuse enough people.

I tend to just measure the old bearing and then get the relevant replacement from the specialist bearing suppliers…Old OE part numbers from the 50's and 60's are generally long long disposed of from bearing supply companies microfiches ..
The simpler option is just to ask the proper Marque specialists such as Adrian and Steve who will know the bearing type often by heart and even have them in stock.
Either that or try your luck with TRGB!!
Whilst it is true some things are shared with TR6, you could in a number of circumstances come royally unstuck with combinations of upright, bearing, stub axle and taper…there are many subtle differences. This is because at the very start you quote TR6. You should correctly quote TR4 through 6 and with front suspension 1200 Drum brake Herald!……Some parts changed ever so slightly, some didn't, and a few were TR6..
TRGB would never know this though which is why you should value your Little Coventry based specialist a little more..
I also wince at some of the low price chinese manufactured parts coming from some of the bulk supply specialists because the market for these increasingly expensive cars is being driven by folk who seem to want to shop around to save a few pennies…..The specialists I know won't supply such items!!

But this is a reprint copy from 1971 which was printed AT THAT point with a disclaimer! Also, it I think, superseded by another version (I think on purple paper)with a disclaimer with superseded numbers in 1972 before the reprint!
Adrian@
It was reprinted then by TVRCC as a faithful copy of the original so it's still handy if the others mentioned aren't available. Adrian@
