I intervene for a friend of mine.

He is looking for a used front bonnet for his Taimar, 1978 as well as a frame chassis.

Could you kindly help me and inform where we can find these "spare parts" in second hand.

Many thanks in advance.

In short I think you'll be lucky to find one secondhand, a bonnet of an 'M' series should also fit as they are basically the same car.

If its possible to repair the existing one it may well work out easier, I have just had mine repaired and a new frame fitted and it probably worked out around £600-£700, give Adrian Venn a call as he does occasionally have secondhand parts.

I have a spare 1979 chassis available, email me for details.

No offence, but just to be pedantic, the phrase M-series covers the Taimar and 3000S as well as all the models ending in M (3000M,2500M,1600M,1300M and 5000M). They are all basically the same car apart from the obvious changes. There was also some evolution of the chassis and body over the production run.
I'll get my coat now.

Paul.

You can buy new bonnet frames from geralds fro around £100, not hard to fit plenty of measuments and then plenty of fibreglass!
