3000m wide arches
Discussion
Morning Clive.
The rear section of arch doesn't have to be flared, mine wasn't , but I believe the original factory cars were.
When I have my car redone I will be having the rear arch splayed out to match the bonnet section, I think it will look better.
The inner arch isn't really affected, the seal strip will still touch the underneath of the bonnet .

thanks John, so with regards to the original arch on the rear wheels, is some cutting out required there, or do the new arches fit straight to the body?
what I`m trying to get in my mind is the tyre fitting up inside the arch when under load, does the body need cutting away if you use a wider wheel to fill the width given with the wider arches.

My most recent thought, on how to cover the wider wheels, has been to do something along these lines . . . They're awfully nice lines.
These flares are on the early Pantera Group 4 racers. I like the shape, but also the visual rhythm set up by the rivet spacing. To my mind, there's also a familial association with fast aircraft and cars like the Elektron 57 Bugatti and Jaguar XKD.
Best,
B.

hm, no...not a fan of that way, a bit to much?
I'm more a fan of this when it comes to ' srew' on fender flares.
like say the GT2 or rauhe welt cars
there are many types like this>
or like this
perhaps there are also some that could fit such TVR, they look pretty easy to bold on and could give a sporty look, on some cars a bit more aggressive look.
