Hi guys,

on a vixen, are the screws, nuts and bolts mostly imperial or are they metric, i.e. 3/16" etc or 6mm etc?

Most of the nuts & bolts will be UNF ...most engine Ford engine bolts will be UNC ....Then the brake connections on to the PB16 are metric (some Vixens have these as opposed to the imperial P16 version) Adrian

Adrian has hit the nail on the head.

UNF and UNC are the order of the day, plus the odd metric thread thrown in on such things as gear box cross member etc. They weren't like this originally, but35 odd years often means that tother previous owners use metric nuts and bolts through anything with a clearance hole rather than a tapped thread.

Early (mid series 2) come with imperial calipers and the later cars are often fitted with metric M16 calipers.
