TAIMAR heater plumbing
Discussion
Hi all! I'm new to all this, just bought a 1977 Taimar in need of a bit of TLC. I gather the heaters are not too hot
but mine isn't even plumbed in. Could any-one supply a diagram or better still some pictures of how its connected into the main water circuit? Should there be some form of thermostatic valve so water only goes through the heater when its warmed up? Help!

The main reason that heaters are not normally plumbed in, is because they are leaking!
I don't remember any thermostatic value, one end came from the thermostat housing and the other went into the waterpump. That was it!
Hope that helps

The one from the thermostat went via the automatic choke on my 'M'
