Just a couple more questions...

Hi,
I tried to get a spare key cut for my 3000M, but the key cutter was unable to match it. Does anyone know what type of key I should ask for? (Triumph perhaps?)
Also what petrol (or petrol & additive) are people using in their 3000 M? I'm assuming mine has not had an unleaded conversion done. Can Shell Optimax be used?
Thanks very much for your help so far!

Simon,
My '76 3000M has Ford Cortina exterior door handles.
I run on unleaded with Castrol Valvemaster Plus. The advice that seemed soundest to me, after some research, was to run on an additive endorsed by the Federation of British Historical Vehicle Societies (who ran some tests) as opposed to either LRP or a non-endorsed additive, and stick with it. The FBHVC website is supposed to be www.fbhvc.co.uk but I can't reach it at the moment. There's a summary of their findings at www.club.triumph.org.uk/links/leadfree.html. Don't know about Optimax.

Simon
