Is there any significance with the numbering of Tiv number plates ? I'll explain, mine were

WPE 111 G (S2 Vixen)
TVX 777 N (3000M)

Just spotted

PHP 999 G (S2 Vixen) in an episode of Randall and Hopkirk

Too much of a coincidence surely ?

Just found another one on the registry

Probably down to the individual nature that the cars were sold, with most Vixens being component cars, were individually registered by their owner/builder, and even later cars were sold in low volume, so dealers , and individuals could shop around for the best numbers.........

Hi chap!

You owned TVX 777N?

Whereabouts is it now? Would love to see pictures. My brother owned it in the 80s when it was black.

I've been looking for it since 2004...

Hiya's

If your brother lived in Newbury it was probably him I bought it off in 88/89 (can't remember exact date,I've had a beer since then).
It was still black when I had it,well looked after and not mucked about with. Brand new (from Ford) V6 lump, was never sure if it should have had the vented bonnet - or was that only the Cortina Mk2 backlight earlier cars ? Loved it to bits apart from the terrible pedal positioning, think they sorted that not long after in the production run. Forget about wearing Dm's or the like !!

I know it's still about, hopefully someone will chime in later
