I stumbled across these two beauties (can't believe my luck). I had in fact already picked up one really good seat and following months of searching for a match settled on buying a pair from Steve for restoration (which I still have). So now I have "five" seats and limited space to store them! If Steve doesn't want to buy his back (I did rather bully him into selling me some poor chap) then I will probably pop them up for sale in a few weeks. I anybody is looking for a single seat (photo2) in really good original condition (a couple of very small nicks in the vynyl)then get in touch.

Jos,

I am sure someone will be along to confirm, but if you are looking for the "correct" items for the 1800S I don't think these are them.

Shouts man who had to have his vixen seats "extended" to accomdate his slender arts. Blimey Tom, where did they come from? Struggling to buy anything back at moment and hence having a sell off of parts but if I get rid of my 3000S or 1800S anytime soon will gladly have them back but see how you get on selling them, apart from your collection and mine they are quite rare.

Jos what you are looking for are these.

Last and only pair I have seen for sale recently sold on ebay for £420 recovered in black vinyl. They are fitted to Granturas, 1800S,s Tuscan V8,s and S1 Vixens.

That's amazing. Surely with the height in those bases your head would be through the sunroof!

The pair I bought came out of an Anglia 105E about 25 years ago and have been sitting in a loft just waiting to be rescued! I don't know if they have ever seen a vixen but it doesn't look as if they've seen a bum many times either!

Not at all, the seat base comes level with the height of the sill and the seat base is angled back to hold you in the seat and the raised front supports your thighs. Very comfortable for 50+ year old seats and I have driven MANY miles without having my head out of sunroof..........because I dont have one.

Steve,

If Jos doesn't take the seats, I am also looking for a pair. Any idea of the cost of re-upholstering them in leather (or vinyl if needs be)?

WELL JOS
SUGGEST YOU DON'T START OVERFEEDING ADA IN ORDER TO FIT THE SEAT !
SHE WILL NOT LOOK AS GOOD WITH A BUTT THE SIZE OF MINE !!

Having said this the seats are alot smaller than they look in that pic.
