It looks like the Buckland B3 is making it back into production under it's new owners- penguin speedshop.

Looks good, can't wait to see one in the flesh. Sounds good too. I just hope it actually comes to fruition. I hope it's at stoneliegh, the website says the demonstrator will be good for march this year with a launch of early-mid 2011.

We have not finalised prices yet but we expect you to be on the road for around £13k . We have the first bodies in today and the chassis are now ready waiting on the bevel boxes from the machine shop and we will be able to build the demonstrator

Buckland B3 - best 3 wheeler ever, hope the new owners do Dick Bucklands Car justice other wise it'll degenerate into a 2CV 3 wheeler competitor. which would be sadcry

If we don't build it well dick and v will kill us
Dick is in the loop and we expect a visit soon for him to check progress
There are changes but things have moved on a lot
We have updated the suspension and revised the nose
The chassis are now made and the bodies moulded just working on the new bevel box and updated brakes

I know it is old thread but i think is better to keep stuff consolidated. I just sent the last of my money to Penguin for a giant bucket of B3 parts. As I am stateside I probably got more stuff than you locals would have, But it is what it is. I hopto get a blog going and I shoul take delivery some time in Aug. I work out of town A LOT of it will likely come in fits and starts but I hope to get there eventually!

So far John and his crew have been a pleasure to work with!

car ships thursday. The importers agreed it's just parts, not a car, so one hurdle leaped! I opted for a 1.6 liter Kent crossflow, because that's what I could source stateside. I hear it should just fit. I have twin carbs on it now, but don't know how that will git, so I have the single carb on order as well -- lot's of things to sort out!

sorry, hadn't logged in in ages. the going has been a bit slow. first when I took delivery I was actually working in korea. when I did get back I was working a steady work diet of 60 hours a week! recently that has been reduced to 44 so I'm hoping to get more time to work on it's I recently got the wheels underneath jt so there has been a little progress anyway!
cheers, Kenny
