Bad luck Vince.

Perhaps next time it might be worth taking C&E into account and leaving a bit more time when shipping the car.

That's a real blow vince was looking forward to seeing the car.
I'm personally not a cobra fan but with all the interest in this one I would have liked to see it. Incidentally My wife likes cobra's but for one small detail. They've only got 2 seats, she's insisting that if I have another jit car after I complete the Spartan it's got to have 4 seats

left the time needed and all the time we could get at the sri laken end ,never planed on it going to the anti smugling squad !!

they may want to pull it to pices and see if we are smugling suff in it ,

and there is nothing i can do they have all the power ,and i have none !!!

this is 2 out of 2 that customs have given me greef over ,
really know how it feels to be a VICTIM of a crime!!

Vince, I’m rather hoping that you’re not suggesting on this public forum that my warnings make me a criminal!

I also resent your suggestion that I didn’t want it to make it. The sooner we all see how it actually compares with the likes of DAX – the better!

I agree with LexSport, that the problem here is that you’re way (way, way) behind schedule AND had you done your work first, then made your advertising claims, then you wouldn’t be feeling so hard done by.

In any event, and for the record; when you first came on this forum, you said the car was going to be at Stafford. On that basis you justified continuing with your contentious advertising from last November till now.

Den.

Ps. Ted, I realize this topic’s taboo, but Vince twice implied that my campaign is criminal and/or malicious – that’s simply not right!

Happy pills remember them?
We all know the issue, but it is a shame Vince won't get the car there.
You can't deny it, I bet you really want to see it! Possibly not for the same reasons as others, but I do think we all wanted it there.

Vince
Sorry the car won't be there. Then again neither will I. So with everyone else going for a look at the show, I'll have to wait 'til next time.
Good look with customs.

If customs do indeed take the car apart to check you're not smuggling something in, whose responsibility is it to put it back together? One assumes the owner.

Yes the onus of rebuilding the car is on the owner.

I remember seeing an article on a consumer program where someone had complained because customs had stripped their van, I think, taking all the seats out stripping all the dash and stuff and just left the owner sat on the side of the dock with a van in bits and when he asked how he was going to put the van back together he was told " thats your problem". I think thats the extreme and it was a couple of years ago but I think that is still the case

Hi every one !

back in Sri lanka now !
and YES WE GOT THE CONTAINER "untouched" by customs !!

It was released first thing Tuesday morning. It was at the Essex base at 7.00 am on Thursday! Next shipment will not be so time sensitive and will be fine!

The SIX python kits are all waiting to go out to their new owners , and Yes the demo car is there for all to see !!!!!!!!

Steve Hole is anxious to see the Python, take pictures and post these and his impressions. Keep an eye on Totalkitcar.com

It was nice to see spartan andy, wacky racer and graham and all our friends that were nice enough to stop by at stoneleigh

We’ve also got the drop on the opposition and bagged the first drive of the RV Dynamics Python Cobra replica for an upcoming TRIED & TESTED feature

The Python is going down to Dr. Watson so he can prepare her and get her through SVA testing. I believe it will be in the mags.

A client's Bugrat also just won the local trails champiohsip. We will have more details soon.

Not in this bloody weather!

Actually Mark, I doubt I'll be doing a Python test, despite Vince's (and your) offer. Ted's not really into covering replicas (with certain rare exceptions) so it won't be done for PH.

Also thought that in view of my involvement in the Python 'debate' it would be best all round if any test for totalkitcar was done by Steve Hole or one of his other writers. That way nobody should have any doubt that it's a completely subjective report and hasn't been written by someone with an axe to grind one way or the other.

Which after the debacle we're all so familiar with is something I think we really need to see.

Fair comment about the testing. Shame, but never the less it does show how completely independent and subjective you are.

Don't know what your talking about with the weather though. Had the roof off the MR2 today.

Ideal time to drive round here. sun, dry roads, no tourists, and empty beaches. (not that you can really drive on them without a buggy - anyone fancy letting me test a buggy down here?)
