Well I've been to a lot of trackdays, but today was REALLY special, to arrive at Elvington and see 40 kitcars and about 80 drivers was a very impressive sight. I've NEVER seen the place so busy, and must have had about 500 people attend throughout the day, just to view kitcars and chat with fellow kitcar nuts.

It was truely awesome when more and more people arrived, people who intended to spend a day at the air museum ended up watching cars, going for rides, and generally into kits and asking about Kitcar magazine.

People IN the museum were pressed up against the wire fence straining to see the variety of cars, it was excellent to see...and by all accounts a great track to drive. Everyone seemed to have fun and there was so much banter in the pits you'd have thought that people had known each other for years.

From my point of view it was fantastic. If you were there then I hope it was the same. I'll post some pics online (as soon as I can work out how)

I’m really sorry that I didn’t make it, but I’m ever so pleased that it was such a successful event.

The photo’s look great! I’m just glad I didn’t get the bill for the tyres.

If this success came about from two mentions in Kit Car, then think what would result from a concerted ‘rolling’ campaign.

Matt, Glad to hear everything was a sucess after some of the email conversations we had off forum. Sorry I couldn't make it, family commitments meant it was impossible however give me some notice and I will definately make the next one by hook or by crook.
