Right the Ultima is sold and the chasis for my Nemesis is on it's way (all in the same day amazingly).
So I am now officially starting my Nemesis GTT.....

Now I'm not going to spout on about how great this car is, as until its finished I will not know for sure. However there has and will continue to be a lot of modifcations to the original to make this car truely special and a worthy follow up to what was (and still is) an amazing car, my VW Sharron...... sorry I meant my Ultima.

One thing that is very clear right from the start is that this is going to be a much more difficult build than the Ultima, but I was always intent in doing my own thing during my Ult build (and often making things hard for myself). So I am actually really looking forward to the challenge and working with Vince to get to the car I want.

I've dbored you all with the specs before so I will try over the next few months to get some proper web software and get my web site up to date.

All in all these last few days have been very bitter sweet.

if you need any advice web-wise give me a nod I'm not the greatest but I certainly know what I'm doing for the most part.

Good Luck with it.

Andy - good luck mate. Glad to here you had some luck with the Can-Am. I still miss the outright thrust of the Ultima, still, I'm enjoying having a project again.

Best of luck with the new car.

Paul.

Dreamweaver is very use friendly but lets you add bits of code as you get used to web design. There are 'demo' copies about.
How's the car coming on, any progress yet?

Thanks Dreamweaver is what a guy at work sugested..... bit pricy but if it saves me time then it'll be worth it.

On the car front.....
I have the chasis and am busy planning were to put the roll cage etc... I am close to finalising this and now need to get the tube so I can get this under way.
The reason this is so critical is I want to get the chasis galvernised and welding afterwards would be a bit of a nightmare.

I have pre-fitted the engine and gearbox as I already have the adapter plate from Vince and I have purchased two dry sump pump solutions from the states to help me develope the packaging (which will be tight due to so many auxileries being needed).
I've also got the Cobra seats upolstered to my own spec, which despite costing a fortune I am very impressed with.

Currently Vince has started the new alloy uprights and has just had the first front pair cast... so hopefully I will have a rolling chasis in a few months.

Update....

Progress has remained slow on my car, I now have the T45 tubing I need to do the full cage and have been carefully planning where it all needs to go.... I really need the body to finalise this so I have switched my emphesis into different area's.

Engine
I have now purchased the best engine managment I could afford which is the top of the range MOTEC M800 unit, this will run sequential injection and a coil per cylinder.
Also I have decided to sell on the hybrid cosworth turbo's I have and buy a pair of larger 'state of the art' ball bearing turbos.... Oh I've also bought a cam kit that will allow the engine to rev past it usual 6100rpm rev limit....... in fact it will now go to 8000rpm if I want it to.
I have no current prediction of power but "adequate" and "beyond 500bhp" seems to be easily achievable.

Other things I have done are,
-Plan the clutch/flywheel/starter arangement... no easy task I can tell you!
-Bought the wheels (Kahn RS-C 2 piece)
-pre fitted the underbelly (over 500 rivits to go in here!)

To compensate myself for my lack of progress I decided to build and race a competitive top level racing car... I'm still not doing well but its given me the edge over my 8yr old daughter who was giving me a hard time on track.
I am of cause talking about 1/10 scale touring car racers and of cause I had to have a ferrari 360 shell in stratos colours.

I've also now got Dreamweaver so will be reading the manuals and starting a proper web page soon (I hope).
