I have been thinking of starting a Megabusa for track use, and I would like to hear your opinion about this Bike Engined Car, or even better your experience

Ooops! Sorry moomin. Should have re-read the thread before posting the url rather than just the title.

I didn't make one but I bought a 2001 Busa with all the extras and have just had it turbocharged by Hole Shot Racing in Leeds, it now produces 350 BHP!!

OMG! Even faster!
What is like driving the megabusa? Tell me your experiences
How much did the turbo kit cost, how much does it weigh and what's the megabusa's driving now?
(sorry for any mistakes in my english:P)
What does the kit include and what else did you have to change? I was thinking of the turbo-charged busa solution but I am not sure if the engine can handle it:S Are there any problems till now? Isn't it a bit risky? :S
Do you know what's the 0-100 time and 400m time with the turbo kit?
I have fell in love with this car

I have only done one track day since the turbo was fitted and have only run at 0.8 bar. This gives around 250 BHP but once run in will safely run at 1.5 which would be around 350BHP!!

The tyres only just cope with 250 horses so slicks will be needed before running it with full boost. Initially the car was quite frightening but as the day wore on I got more used to the power. On the road it's incredible but I wouldn't run it at more than .8 bar.

On track days as standard it is a very quick car but loses out over 100mph as the aerodynamics come into it and that's why I wanted more power. Now even with a paasenger it's rapid and the power is instant with no lag.

I know Jarred Frost at Holeshot through Supermoto racing and he has done a great job. I will list the costs below and think the price is very competetive especially compared to what Radical are charging.

Airbox with new injectors.........£580
New EFI with map sensor...........£460
Fuel regulator....................£ 80
Air Filter........................£ 40
Headers...........................£500
Exhaust outlet turbo to silencer..£160
Silencer & bracket................£220
Modified Mitsubishi Turbo.........£800
Steel cylinder head gasket........£ 60
Machined Head block crank.........£160
Custom forged turbo pistons.......£480
Heavy duty starter idler gear.....£120
Procut full gearbox...............£420
Intercooler.......................£500
Labour............................£960

I haven't included lots of other bits and bobs as I had some new gears and heavy duty clutch spring but it came to around £6,500 plus VAT.

Engine pic here....

ouch, a bit much 6500 - I am sure it worth it though!
Seems like very good work on the engine bay, have major fun with it m8
PEDAL TO THE METAL!!!!!!!!!

I have heard the 2-engined-car solution - like the tiger cars. What do you think about that? In one hand it becomes heavier (around 100kg) but on the other hand there are 2 engines instead of 1 turbo-charged (which i suppose shortens the engine's life)
