I've got a Dax Rush and am looking for a solution that will stop all the fuel rushing away from the outlet on right handed bends. The suggestions I have had so far are:-
1. Swirl pot with low pressure pump
2. Use baffle foam to surround the outlet and capture the fuel to slightly delay the surge.
3. Use an aluminium plate with a one way trap door.
4. Slow down.
My preference is option 3 if I can find a dsign that works and get someone to do it. I would be interested to hear comments / other ideas.

I get exactly the same problem on my Westie, have you got fuel injection? I was thinking of getting a collector pot from Burton Power, but it sounds more complicated than I thought to plumb it in. The topic I started over on the Westfield forum is here: Fuel surge problem

The simplest solution that I can think of is to weld (remember petrol burns quite well) a 2nd fuel pipe at the opposite end of the tank (right hand bends a problem so put 2nd outlet on left), then using a Y piece connect the 2 outlets together.
Alternatively, fit baffles and inch or two high across most of the width of the tank (just like a baffled sump), don't bother with one way trap doors etc it would be far too complex.
If you don't want to really slow down, and like conering flat out, then just fit crap , over inflated tyres....conering at the limit, but just that bit slower.
Personally I'd fit the twin out let.

I have baffles in my Westfield tank, and a small collector pot on the left hand end of the tank. This seems to work ok in the road - since you do more right handers than left handers (i.e. roundabouts) - but I do get a fuel starvation on long left handers (only experienced this on track).
My line of thinking is to fit an external swirl pot with a lift pump, as this _will_ solve the problem (baffles, foam, etc work to a point). Am following the WSCC boardroom threads about the Golf pump with some interest.
