Putting a bike engine into a standard normal car, like imagine a bog standard 1 litre eurobox with the power and revving capabilty of a bike (ok I'm sure none of you need to imagine). I dont know that much about the mechanics of cars but it seems like a good idea to me.

I was thinking about it the other day and assume that it's down to emissions. That's what Scuppered Strathcarron.

That and the fact that even a small Eurobox would be too heavy to get anywhere decent performance.

hi all from speaking to a company who put hyabusa engines into a little race car it seems the weight is to much on most eurobox cars mainly due to the gearbox/clutch of the bike engine being designed to work with a weight of 165 to 200lbs like most superbikes weigh sounds rasonable !also putting a bike engine in a normal car cannot be as much fun as in a kit car like a westerfield etc

If I remember correctly that was, long long ago, the way Honda entered the market for passengercars.
