Just read aprisas post and thought a quick update was reqd.

Having spent over £500 at the triumph specialist on assorted bits and pieces I have renewed enthusiasm which had waned considerably following the strip down.

It is for this reason I have spent the last few evenings doing a bit of plumbing on the spartan and now have a rebraked chassis and a sense of achievement.

Not quite worth shagging but a good feeling all the same

Andy
you are just not getting passionate enough about this project are you!

Try leafing thru KC magazine whilst sitting in your rolling chassis

Must admit occasionally sit on chassis cross member reading catalogues and haynes manual of donor vehicle daydreaming of cruising around in it don't quite go as far as making the Brrrrmmm brrrmm noises though but its a close run thing at times

PS I did loose my enthusiasm over the winter as:
a) it was too cold
b) the ankle biters were playing up
c) the Management were blackmailing me into doing jobs round the house
d) couldn't do anything without spending money and didn't have any spare to spend on the car
e) any other reason you can think of
But now its warmer have managed to get some money together and buy some parts to keep me going for a while at least and have been in the garage every night last week.

Unfotunately the weekend was blown out because my dad needed some help putting up some kitchen units and the wife wanted to go shopping on the sunday.

Congrats Andy,
I'm getting worried that I'll be the last to finish now, especially as I've got to work away again for the next 3 weeks, but after that I promise I'll be doing my best to catch up!

Just keep the momentum going now

Thanks peetbee. It was the threat of one of den's jumpers that got me kick started more than anything if I'm honest.

However as yet the engine has not turned over since I've had it. That'll probably be next weekend ie the 6th/7th march which btw is my birthday weekend
