I don't own one myself, but I would quite like one. My friend owns 2; a Mk 7a and a Mk. 6. The Mk. 6 has been fitted with an A-series which seems like a strange choice, but he's looking to fit something a little different at a later stage.
I believe their torsional rigidity is really impressive, indeed this picture testifies that...

read the book Davrian to Darrian by Martyn Jones. The late Adrian Evans (boss/founder of Davrian) was a very very clever guy proven by the astonishing photo of him in the book with his twin SU carbed tuned Imp engine mounted 'straight on' in the FRONT of his first racing 'special' and it's not known but looks like it was front wheel drive (how did he do that!) That's unusual in itself but even more testimony to just how clever this guy was, he was racing this in 1964, less than a year after the standard Imp saloon's launch.

A Hillclimbing MK3 and a road spec MK4. Still need to find the time to work on these cars, but Davrians are great IMHO
