Or How About A Ginetta?
Discussion
Ther's a couple of nice looking G27's in the current Kit Car if that's what you want. These don't get windy windows either. There's also a Sumo (Cobra) for £7.5k ???? but you probably already know this.
Flintsone, you seem not to know what you really want?
What are you going to be using it for?
How much do you want to spend?
It's non of my business really, is it?

The trouble is I'm not really sure what I want.
I can see now why people build cars then sell them. I've finished the engine tuning, reckon I've got the nippiest Banham around and now want something different to play with. Nothing wrong with my car but I've had it two and-a-half years, that's all.
I need/want something quick and practical. Any other suggestions?

Answers:
1. As little as I have to but as much as she-who-must-be-obeyed will let me. Even after selling the Banham I'll have to borrow. I'd like to say that the £15000 being asked for the Libra is possible but I'm not sure.
2. It'll be my everyday car. We have a family car so two seats is no problem.
3. Yes, it will be used all year round.
4. Garaged? Probably not at first. Current one too small and full of junk.
5. How fast? Fast. I do like chucking my car around and have a heavy right foot. (Still only three points onmy licence though).
The GTM is beginning to look favourite again.

If it has to be practical but you don't think you can afford £15k for a Libra, how about a Quantum 2+2?
Fiesta base, so front wheel drive like the Banham, but build one with a tweaked RS Turbo engine and it should be decidedly quick.

Have you thought of a G32?
Go to www.f1ferret.co.uk/The%20Ferret.htm
for a look at mine. It has a 1.9 CVH but also comes with a 1.6, both in convertible or FHC. It is the most tremendous fun.
It was never a kit car, was only sold fully built and has gone through the necessary tests.
Ginetta in those days was a very professional unit, turning out some great cars. The G32 is very 'pointy' and can corner at a tremendous speed although when it lets go it does so without warning, or at least I didn't see it coming.
They are very cheap nowadays, so much so that it is not worth me selling mine. Cheap to insure as well, even as a 1.9. Parts are easy to come by and, as they are mainly Ford, cheap again. It's only fault is the noise! Greeat fun at first but after a hundred miles or so it does get a bit wearing.

I like the look of the g27 fancy one as an everyday one let the management have the estate and i'll sell her fiesta to help fund the kit car.
BUGGER!!! just thought how am I going to get to work if I sell her fiesta before I build the g27. I know I'll build it then sell the fiesta for all the twidly bit or an engine tune

Think Bluebottle (Ferret) was trying to tell u lot something when he was on about his G32....

You only have to look at the race series to back this up. It is one of the few expanding grids in the country, all the racers rave about how the series is run, and Vicki turns up from time to time .
