Cobra Rep - bodies
Discussion
Hawk do one with an aluminium body, but be warned it's not cheap! I think they're the agents for Kirkham who make the body, as featured in this month's KitCar magazine.

edited to say, curses I took too long to reply, I was looking at their websites and had to stop to wipe the drool off my keyboard!

Sorry pal, but metal bodies are very scarce because they’re so very expensive.
RAM made one metal bodied version about 15 years ago I think. There was a metal bashing firm who tried to convince me to make a metal bodied Sumo as an option at £10,000 about 12 years ago. I declined.
The Kirkham from Hawk is the only viable option. If you believe what’s in the latest Kit Car, it’s a damned good option too.
So it’s a Kirkham or a resin rocket
Den.

well if i can find the link, i could get a 453 ford big block race engine producing around 600hp, for £6000+shipping from the states (brand new)
That sounds like a 429 based engine. You'd need a very big crowbar to get that in a Cobra
427FE engines, as per the original, are now very expensive
A 351W stroker would give a reliable 427 at a more realistic cost.
Guess what I'm planning
