Anyone built a RAW-powered Striker?

I'm thinking of building one but want to get some feedback - both positive and negative welcome.

Cheers
Andy

Haven't built one since RAW took over, I had a Sylva.

Very easy to build, it took me 9 weeks form collection to MoT - Absolutely brilliant.

Driving is nothing short of sensational, light weight, awesome handling and hugely entertaining. I now have a Stylus which is not a patch on the Striker for out and out fun. Although the Stylus is more 'comfortable'.

Go for it, just don't do what i did and sell it!!!

Cheers,.

Mark,
When you say 9 weeks - how many hours and what was your ability/experience level?
Also, when you came to sell it did you find you lost much money on it? I spoke to RAW last week and they said a complete kit (I assume that's absolutely everything needed) was about £8k. Do you think this is realistic?

Cheers

Andy,I have a spreadsheet, drop me an email and I'll send it back to you. I have done a lot of research into doing another Striker, bike engine, zetec or crossflow and build costs range from £6k to £7k with mostly new or reconditioned parts.

My old Striker I sold to a friend and fealt at the time I got a good price for it. 2 years later he sold it on for £2k more! Admitedly he had spent a bit, but it really held it's price well.

Go for it!

I was wondering if you would be so kind as to complete a builders feedback on madabout-kitcars.com for the striker - it currently hasn't got any so would be nice to kick it off. Its still listed under Sylva at present (will get round to updating it)

Link is here

No pressure - only if you wouldn't mind

Cheers, John
