Just checked on the companies house website and it would appear they have gone into liquidation. Sad news if it is correct as it looks to be a good car.

That's very sad news. I had a sit in their blue demonstrator at Pistonfest and it was a very promising car. I thought they'd got the balance between price and quality nicely balanced as it had a more quality feel and appearance than the MK GT1 but was cheaper than an XTR2 (if I remember right?).
I hope someone will buy out all of their tooling and stock and perhaps continue the project under a different company name.

For Coram Automotive read……………..Turner Automotive Design, with the company now being run by Steven Turner. We’ll have a feature soon.

Link doesn't appear to work but it looks like it is just being taken over - fairly common in the kit car world.

Ah, thats good news then - it would have been a great shame to see a promising project like this go to waste.
Right, I said I’d find something out. I tasked my news editor who has just reported back to me.
Coram report that the kit car market isn’t right for their product, so they’ve been working on factory built turn-key models only. They’ve done this quietly, behind the scenes, but are now almost ready to re-launch.
They didn’t want us to say anything (for fear of distortion) because a full-scale press release and launch is due next week. Kit Car wasn’t originally invited to the party – but as a result of our tenacity in finding out what’s reported here , we apparently are now on the invitation list.
Coram say that they respect and have a soft spot for the kit car market and appreciate the interest that has been forthcoming, but when all is said and done they feel that the market for complete vehicles is a better route for them to travel.
Time shall tell. Hopefully, there shall be pictures and a fuller story in the December issue.

Any conversation that I had with a reporter from Kit Car magazine today was STRICTLY off the record. I am disappointed to see the details of this PRIVATE conversation appear on a PUBLIC forum, but not entirely surprised knowing what most journalists will do for a story. Any subsequent story that appears in Kit Car magazine is unofficial and is by no means exclusive.
For the record, Coram Automotive Ltd. did go into liquidation on the 6th October. This was not intended to be a secret of any sort, but a full explanation is being prepared and will be published in selected magazines and other media (such as Pistonheads).
The new vehicle - the first product of the new parent company - will appear publicly before Christmas 2003. It is essentially the same as the LMP, but with better engineering and a more powerful engine. It will be available as a factory built vehicle only.

I have in the past been sent by my company to be trained on how to deal with the press, first rule was there is no such thing as an off the record conversation with a reporter. Think you just learnt this the hard way!
