It's here and it's in bits.

Picked it up last Friday from the factory from Futie and spent Tuesday night making sure it's all present and correct.

Apart from the two rear left hand uprights, a broken oil pressure gauge, a missing reverse gear flange and a very badly drilled dash board it all appears to be there but I guess time will tell.

300 hours later......

Look forward to seeing the pictures, Rob.

Are you thinking of doing an online build diary at all?

Good luck with the build, can't wait to see the finished thing

Edited to add:

Gah, you can really go off people sometimes

I take it that it's still a 'busa powered one, or is it one of these new Audi-powered ones that they're meant to be coming out with some time?

Yep, tis a 'busa powered one. But the engine has already been faffed with to ensure it'll cope with the obligatory supercharger conversion at some point !

The Audi engined cars are factory build only .

Bugger, I also thought the "A" meant it was one of the first Audi engined XTr2's. So much so I even rung Westfield to find out more, but it’s not quite available yet to see, but it is there!!! Someone at Westfield who had recently driven it was saying how well it handled, and how powerful it was, plus it was using only a standard 1.8T engine from Audi, now I know these have a lot more power to untap, alot more.
can’t wait!!

PS Great Garage ...and the other car isnt bad !!

Rob,

Did I see you on the Hogs Back last Friday afternoon? I saw a brand new White and Blue XTR2 being driven in the Friday afternoon rush hour. It's the first one I've seen in the flesh and it looked.......fan-bloody-tastic

Hehe.

I've just got visions of flying spanners and hammered bits of kit flying across the garage and pinging into the Porker!

Word of advice (as I nearly did the same to the missus' Puma last night): Move the other car out of the garage before picking up the hammer!
