I have read my free copy of the Kit Car magazine sent to me by Mr Tanner and I am to e mail him my comments.
All this continual backstabbing, name calling, word twisting, snidy comments have finally pi$$ed me off and i am not returning to the Kit Car forum. that is my perogative, I stopped reading the "Law & Plod" threads cos they just got on my t*t as well. This Tanner v Filby thing has gone on long enough and has put me off thinking about building another kit EVER AGAIN.
Goodbye.

There are probably others who agree with you, but at the end of the day, this is a public internet forum.... you can pretty much judge by the topic headers what the subject matter is, and if you think that the subject matter is going to wind you up.... DON'T BOTHER READING IT!
The choice is yours!

I'm pretty bored of the Which Kit/Kit Car topic and have discussed it with KitCarMan and asked him to tone it down a bit.
That said, the kit car forum has sparked to life in the last few weeks as a result of some of these discussions so I am at least pleased about that.
P.S. Speeding Plod and the Law has turned around recently and has become pretty interesting. There are fewer trolls so that's worth a read again.

I agree with meeja on this one, if you are looking through a newspaper, most people just pick up on the topics that interest them, for instance I am a Manchester City fan, so I would not particuarly be interested in reading a match report of Grimsby v Scunthorpe, but other people may be.
And even if you don't agree with this thread, why be put off building a kit car, that is just "cutting your nose off to spite your face" imo.
Whilst I agree with Den in a lot of what he says, I do think he is getting a little obsessed by this issue, there are lots more important things in life to worry about, on his own admission he has had a breakdown worrying about this in the past, he has a good mag, that is the market leader, he should concentrate on making it even better, and giving Fib's a run for his money, then we will ALL benefit.
Well done!
I'm another one who's looking forward to logging on and reading something about kit cars again, rather than about the history of magazines and their owners. If all that we've read is true then kitcarman is doing us and the industry a big favour, but reading it again and again doesn't enlighten us any further.
Looking forward to some positive posts. With the summer we've had surely there must be plenty to report on.

He’s right says the chief muck spreader .
I came onto this forum because I thought you hadn’t understood the issues and were drawing wrong conclusions concerning Kit Car and me.
We’re all wiser now, and digging deeper or prolonging these discussions isn’t going to improve matters one iota . So why don’t we call a halt to the negative side of all this and get into serious discussions (OK not too serious) about how you’d like to see Kit Car magazine improve and how it might contribute more positively to the growth of the industry?
I’ve really appreciated what you’ve said, even when I haven’t liked it. However, I’ve no doubt that I’ve learnt something more about readers feelings and I trust that you’ve learnt that publishers have feelings too.
I will say this in passing. I’m so surprised at the way the argument developed. Astonished that Mr Filby still hasn’t said anything either on line or on paper, nor have any manufacturers. Quite surprised at how effective the first-hand experiences of Ozzie Dave and Dave Pepper (albeit through Ferg) were and I noted Meeja’s reactions change when, as a potential Cobra customer, he realized that Which Kit? wasn’t honestly reporting Cobras. You clearly can’t beat first hand experience, which of course is what’s driving me.
My stirring up a veritable hornets nest has brought a lot of trouble on me, but has also brought understanding where there was ignorance. That’s no bad thing is it? I’ll tone down the attacks and the sarcasm over the next few issues and concentrate on achieving a commercial victory. Speaking of which, subscription sales for the month leading up to the dispatch of the October issue were up 75% compared to that period last year.
I hope this is the last word on the poo! Please don’t give up sagalout.
