RD1 (Lamborghini copy) - Anyone built one?

I've been looking at the RD1, has an one bulit one / owner one?

Purely interested as a potential project in the next year or so.

On this point how easy is it to find a Rover SDi 3.5 V8 with a manual box these days?

Ive never built one but know that they look excellent, as for the rover v8 engine and gear box a standard engine will set you back around £100 and a manual gear box around the same, as they are getting a little bit thin but they are the same box as a sherpa van and a jag xj6 just diffrent bellhousing and gear linkage is slightly longer (the sherpa is lower geared) i dont know how much money you want to fire at this car but if you can afford about £400ish you could get a tvr gearbox or for about £1500 you could get a tremec and bellhousing from reel steel, but then the car starts costing shed loads....

£100 may buy you a nailed second hand motor, but speak to Rimmer Bros about a new or recon RV8, more money but well worth it.
