Dynamic Performance Attack

Top Notch Kit Car Coming to the UK

There's a new Elise sized sports car coming to the UK.  Mark Turner and his colleagues at Dynamic Performance have been working for Formula One teams until now, but have now set up on their own to distribute the 'Attack'.

The kit car is based on Honda Accord running gear - although a Ford Duratec can also be used. Mid engined and not dissimilar in looks to the Elise, the Attack uses a tubular steel chasis with the engine mid mounted.

Audi TT parts are used for the front suspension and brakes - including ABS - and Honda parts at the rear, again complete with ABS. Dynamic Performance are even specifying huge 19" wheels on their kits.

It's a full convertible with the soft top roof coming off and it's stored in the front of the car. One of the most distinctive features of the car is the scissor doors - quite an accomplishment on a kit car.

At first glance, this kit looks like it has benefited from some high levels of expertise in the design. This hasn't been knocked up in a shed - the engineers involved have some interesting backgrounds. We hope to get a closer look in the near future. No prices are available yet.

Ooh I like it, but are those extra headlights built-in to the engine intakes? Not nice if so, not nice at all and what ever they are that is not the place for them.

If you mean those things in the holes in the bonnet Taz, they are not lights but the top of the suspension struts!!
Kit prices look pretty reasonable in Europe: €16000, with only wheels/tyres and a 93' Accord etc required to finish it.
What will it be in the UK though?? Could be a 2004 project...

The "extra headlights" in the intakes look more like bell cams on the top of the suspension uprights to me....

...still a litte untidy, but very racy. I could cope.

Your right chrisx666 they can be seen better on the website under frames. Shame, no way of getting rid of them, as danger mouse mentioned looks untidy.

Now that is one nice looking car. FBS should take note. A technically good car should look good too.

Ummm, definitely something to spend next year locked up in the garage with...but, nobody has asked the $2 question - what's the most powerful engine that I can shove in it???

I had a nose around the k1 site and they say there's enough room in the engine bay to fit a large block V8. I guess it's really a matter of what power the chassis can handle.

Being a small, lightweight car though 250-300bhp should be more than enough!

The chassis can handle up to 400bhp, there will be two standard engine options the Honda/Rover and Ford, However as mentioned there is space in the engine bay to fit a V8 if you really wanted.

Thanks for the positive response.

Mark - the biggest question is, will it be available in RHD?

Yes, the RHD version is just about complete. We will be delivering the first RHD cars to customers in September.

I take it that some sort of heater will also be incorporated for SVA compliance? Is the A/C an option now too?
