does anyone have any ideas regarding reservoirs to comply with SVA regs, i can't get to mine easy and need it to be remote, as in 'away from the master cylinder' i can buy one from a specialist but a bit pricey any help appreciated

the manual just says all filling ports must be readily accesible and must be fitted with caps, it also says it must be possible to chech fluid level withouf opening the reservoir, either with marks on a transparent res or with warning lights. other than that there is just the usual obviouse stuff. nothing specific to remote reservoirs tho.

The Ultima runs remote for the brakes. No problem with the SVA. Are you running a servo? Not sure this should make a difference! I would just make sure the fluid can flow into cylinder without any problems.

There are some 'SVA compliant' reservoirs here:

Not cheap though..

make sure you have a low brake fluid warning light for sva. (I failed on the lack of one first time as I thought the transparent reservoir would suffice) It's OK to wire it in to the same warning light as the handbrake, as most production cars do.

good luck

the ones at merlin are what i'd looked at so it seems i'll have to splash out some of my hard earned and get fixed up that way although i suppose it's a small price to pay for my brakes! thanks to you all for your input.
