feels like early 50s GP cars, wonderful; can there be a solution to join the classical feel with wide tires???

Second favorite, would remove the air exits on the hood and fatten the nose ... then we're golden

2nd best of the lot, but where are the headlights? they influence the look of the car so much yet all seem to have ignored them...

Like the other I like this as well (apart from the bonnet vents).

Concern with all concepts is the lights. If the white lights on this are the headlights then they are hoping that technology is going to move quickly to achive this. They still need sidelights though.

I think the nose looks like it comes from Volvo for some reason?! It's kind of similar to the new S30 concept's nose/grille some how.

I've seen the triangular roll-over bars on another roadster concept before.

And the scalloped sides, and vents on the bonnet just scream Lotus 340R.

All in all, it just seems like a re-hash of other design concepts. A little too fussy as well to meet the minimalist brief.

I think this one is the best but without the bonnet vents.

To speculate on who the design team are I would take a stab at Ariel or the roll over bars are very Lotus!!!

Hate the hoops, quite like the bonnet vents actually. I notice this one is a left hooker, or has it just been plipped? A nice chuncky design, would also like to see how the headlights fit in though before I order one!

I love this one. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Definitely a Lotus 340r bias in the design (which I think is a good thing!) and the roll hoops look as though they could be made to be useful, unlike some of the others.

This one is my favourite.
They all say Lotus 340r to me, but then that was a radical modern take on a & also so it's no suprise.

Looks great, but the lack of a windscreen in this design might mean that one added in later would look out of place?

Also, aren't the lights m ounted proud of the body down at the front between the wheels and the black fairing?

In my opinion, designs number 1, 5&6 are the best, they are modern and capturing the classic feel of the original 7. The problem with number 1 I guess, will be the pillars which will not allow easy access to the cockpit. Number 5 is good, but reminds me with the 340R.
And for number 6, it has hints of the original 7, especially in the front and this is needed.
I think they have to look again at these 3 sketches, forget the others and I'm sure they'll come up with the right design.

It looks quite massive for a light car: IMHO a bit too wide; The offshore-styled bonnet is a bit long though and the front design a bit too aggressive.
The 'cabin' reminds me of the 340R: agressive is the word that finally sums up the best what I think...
I'd like more rounded parts

I wish you all the Best for 2002! Just make sure you don't need to take the wheel after New Year's Eve...

My Favourite. Definately 340 inspired
...side cut-aways, 111 wheels, A038 type tread, Roll-bar, bonnet slots etc.

If it's a new lotus, fair enough, but I'd prefer a few less cues (a bit more differentiation) from a different manufacturer.

....With a bit of Atom (prominent, though not exposed chassis rails). Agree with the comment about the bonnet being possibly just a bit too long.

...Looks sufficiently UNLIKE a caterfield...there's enough clones already.
...Looks to me as though 1,2,5 & 6 have been penned by the same stylist, all have similar cues (e.g 340r)

Very nice. I like the mix of 340R and Seven design cues. As stated by other reviewers, flatten the nose and give the concept a more traditional Lotus air intake. Soften the front chin spoiler (rounding the points which detract from the minimalist nature of the design) and make sure it can be imported to the US.
