The car is too nice looking for there not to be a kit out there...

Is there a kit similar to the COBRA/GT40 available for the Elva GT160?

Pretty certain the answer is No. Only Elva I recall being copied is the one which is now the Autotune Gemini, nothing like the GT160. I think the 160 is a bit obscure to get copied, most people have never heard of it!

I think they only made 3,

Best chance is to get a kit that matches the wheelbase and layout then get a scale model and start scratch building.

Reminds me a bit of the Lola GT.

Did anyone find anything further on this?

I’m well up for getting involved with a replica project

I think the answer remains as above: it's far too obscure and specialist to have been replicated.

The nearest you will find in terms of appearance, if it's the looks of the car that appeal to you, is a Porsche 904 replica, of which there have been several over the years.

its sad indeed, long time ago when I bought some classic car what are they worth book, I also came across those Elva GT160 with I believe a BMW 2002 engine 02 4 cill anyhow, I thought wow, thats a nice classic, lets find one... euh... not or very expensive.

and from those sort cars there are a few in those cataloged books, and most only a few made.. and you think, whyyyyy such great lines, low weight proper engines for such car and or nice to upgrade, but so rare, so nice, but only for the few.

They are indeed lovely. Can't imagine why Elva never made more of them. Nearest would be a trident. Design by the same guy and you can see the family resembance

This would have been a nice kit as well, came across it while searching for another classic.

it says: BMW Fúria Design 1970 Toni Bianco.

There is this kit which looks marginally like the bmw. It is a Bianco S.

I'm not entirely sure if this BMW is a modified Bianco S kit or if the kit is based off of this prototype car. They are however connected by the Bianco name.
The car in the images i posted is Beetle based, not entirely sure if the cars were sold only as complete or also as kit form. They are Brazilian and so likely rare outside of brazil.

I would guess that the headlight position would rule them out of the UK market - too low.

Was excited when I saw this title, one of my favorite cars that I have seen racing at revival - shame that they are not out there!

Personally i think the Elva is hideous and reminds me of the Ford GT70

There are ways.....I have heard that the legal height light pods fitted by Westfield XI builders for IVA Testing might not always remain on the cars thereafter.

I am aware of a cobra replica which had blocks fitted to the suspension to raise the ride height and hence bring the lights to the correct height for the inspection.
Shortly after the inspection the ride height seemed to drop back normal wink
