I've had a look for this, but couldn't find any topic on it, so sorry if I'm going over old ground.

I'm currently re-building a mini (see my profile) And Want to get insurance for it while I finish the work (It's kept off road on my driveway) in case some sad little twat decides to torch it or similar... It won't ever be on public property.

Does anyone have advice on where to look and general to do? - I've done Google searches and am looking into a few turn ups, but any extra help would be great

Cheers,

Fatboy

I had build-up insurance on my kit when I got it - but that was targetted at building from a kit rather a rebuild, I don't know whether it would be any different?
Anyway, I got mine (and subsequent road policy) from MSM Insurance

Checked with them - they'll only cover kits, not re-builds?

Looking bloody hard to find insurance at the moment, can't find a lay-up policy that doesnt need the car garaged

Have you tried Footman James?
I have a lay up policy with them and can't remember whether it specifies garage.

Yes, tried them - everywhere seems to need it garaged Think I'll just have to rely on one of those security posts and luck - or cough up £300 to adrian flux...
