Any recomendations for a insurer who deals with westfield type cars?
I am 21 with 1 years NCB. If I were to spend approx £5k on a westy (1.6 or 1.7) would I be shocked at the premium? I have no idea on how much these cars are to insure.
My current insurers dont wana know and most major insures wont quote for a Westfield online.
Cheers

Your age might be an issue but phone adrian flux. I was looking at a similar car but fireblade engined and had no no claims and it was parked outside and I'm 34 and it was only 120 quid.

Good luck,

Mark

Off the top of my head try:

MSM
Osbourne and Sons
Egger Lawson (Competition Car Insurance)
Footman James
Adrian Flux

All of which do kit car policies.

I was quoted £1800 from Dave Spragg at MSM for my westi (1989 SE - 1600X-Flow) for when I'm 18 on 3000miles p/a

Footman James wouldn't insure me untill I was 21.

Ring all of the companies that Juansolo mentioned and I'm sure they'll have something to your liking.

Cheers, will follow these up. To be honest I was expecting quotes in the region of £1000, being young and high risk.
Dern - cant belive your quote! 120 quid!? That sounds more like it!

Just got a quote for £500 off Adrian Flux. Thats for a 1990 Westy 1.6 valued at £5000

3000 mile limit and only third party but I pay £900 for the fiesta. Oh the joys of being a young driver!

I'm with Footman James, with 4500miles per year its £350. Sounds alot but its 5 litre with just over 320bhp. I consider £350 great value (my Audi costs me more to insure!).

Also the tyre wear per year is more than the insurance!

Mainstream insurance companies don't want to know.

Footman James just quoted me £350!

Thats the cheapest I have EVER heard of for a 21 year old driver.

All I need now is the £5k to buy one!
