hey guys, i'm sorry to bring up the subject of insurance yet again but is there anyone out there who has insured/run a 1.8 ltr caterham in their early 20's? if so how much am i roughly looking at and what are the best companies?? thanks and sorry again!!!!
Don't know about cost, but Adrian Flux are one of the best for kit-car insurance. Do a search on the web or even on PH, as I am sure this has been discussed before
I'm with Footman James - they do specialist/classic insurance. £820 for my 944 (group 20, Fully comp. 3000 mile policy - which has just about run out in 5 months! ) and I'm 25 (not that being over 25 makes much difference )
Looking at that price, being over 37 makes a huge difference! Footman James were quoting £275.00 fully comp unlimited mileage classic agreed value policy on my Lotus!
ive also got a 7 lookalike and with no no claims and im only 23 - footman james quoteed me £450 - tpft tho but still damn cheap and the exess isnt that bad either. note that to be fair this is only a 1.6 but its lightly modified and ive found them to be very helpful. HTH paolo
Try Egger Lawson, recommended by Caterham, they will ask about ur driving experience as well I got £450 fully comp on my superlight inc trackday cover! but im 32
