Kit Car Survey
Discussion
Hey ladies and gents.....got a favour to ask from anyone who has a couple of minutes to spare!
Below is a URL to a market research survey for a new kit car business, and it would really really (really!)help us out if we could get some responses back on it.
Nothing sinister about it, we're just trying to get a constructive opinion on owners & potential owners precepts, concepts and attitudes toward kit cars.
All this for the simple (yet honourable!) aim of developing the industry.......well that's the theory!!
Your responses will be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the survey results so far, we're getting some really great stuff through. Please, keep them coming!!
....and to answer Petrol Heads question: No! This is not being funded by any kit car manufacturer
We're paying for it ourselves, although I must admit, it's great that you give that sort of credability!
As a matter of interest, what do you think the results will show???

I just want to say thanks again to all the PH'ers for taking the time to fill out the survey. We're still sifting through the information
We will publish a partial summary of the survey results in the new year on our website once all of the responses have been analysed.
This survey is just one of a number of measures we are taking to get a better understanding of the kit car market and it's customers, so please bear with us!!
We'll keep you informed of any further developments in the future.....
Best wishes to you all for the new year

Before I start I'll warn you that I'm bored and I’ve just got back from the pub. Beware of long nonsensical posts!
I reckon there are three main markets for Kit-Car buyers. Lets call them; the beards, the polishers and the abusers. Not strict categories as such as you can be a beardy abuser or a shiny beard and in extremely rare cases a shiny beard abuser.
Roughly broken down it's like this:
The beard - A creature that likes to build cars or endlessly fettle them. Will build a car, drive it for 100 miles, get bored, sell it and start building another.
The polisher - Someone who has more layers of wax on his car than paint. Every nut an bolt will be shiny. The car will appear outside on 3 Sundays of any given year.
The abuser – Buys a kit car as a track weapon. Cars are usually in bits in between track sessions only to be made functional in a panic the night before it is required.
It’s usually not that straight cut though as I reckon all kit car owners have a bit of each category in them, just at different ratios.
Me? I’m a stubbly abuser (my beard is not of great length)… Car ain’t pretty, it's currently in bits, I break it a lot, I try and fix it. However I bizarrely polish it to the nth degree between sessions. So then I’m probably really a polisher in denial…
So there you have it in a nutshell.
