Forgive me if this has been discussed before... not a frequent visitor to this forum, despite being bang into kit cars in the late 70s/early 80s.
I recently stumbled across an Ebay ad for gf panels to turn a BMW Z3 into something rather more attractive... reminiscent of a DB4GT Zagato.
Further investigation reveals Cobra, C-Type D-Type, E-Type 'replicas' from the same source, all seemingly re-skins of Z3s and not needing SVA... your comments/experiences sought.
PS. Off topic, I always wondered what happened to Pelland, anyone remember them?

I've seen a few of the Tributes at kit car shows - some of the moulds appear to be better than others, the more recent ones seem particularly good, It has to be said I've not seen any before paint, so it's possible the paint shop have done more prep? The guys at Tribute seem to have a 'good eye' for getting the proportions, because although not replicas (and not claimed to be?) they appear correct if that makes sense. smile
ETA I believe Peter Pellandine moved to Australia many years ago and continued developing his steam cars.

That certainly looks good - a vaste improvement on a Z3 biggrin
A couple of questions if I may......
Is the roof bonded to the top frame of the screen and if so, what is used?
Did the body need much prep to improve, or just minor sanding to achieve a key for paint?

Good morning i am definitely not the right person to ask about body fitting etc , i could say that i didn`t fit the body myself because i don`t have a garage (which would be true) but actually i don`t have the ability to either fit the Tribute panels of to then get them ready for paint , i had people with the necessary experience do that work . There is a Tribute Owners Group on Facebook where there will be plenty of builders/owners who will be able to answer any questions , thanks Geoff .
