Just spotted on Gozo

Hadn’t heard of this kit car before (Stoke based apparently) - anyone know more?

Funnily enough I saw one only today taking part in the Weaver Wander. Looked impressive. Owner told me it was essentially a kit car based on a Sierra chassis if I remember correctly. Had the doors from a modern Mini. He wasn't sure if the firm who produced the kit were still around.

Seen they go for 12-18k which, if you do as many do and spank the wedding market, seems a cheap way to get a summer European tourer

Doors and windscreen are from an original Mini.

Doors from a proper Mini Shirley?

Funnily enough my house is right next to a couple of ponds and a reservoir.

I was thinking Bristol Beaufort (either aeroplane or car).

O/T, I didn't know that there's a branch of Holland & Barrett on Gozo.

The early Beaufords had the whole body from a mini. With just the long wings and bonnet added to the front. The later ones had a grp body tub using the mini doors and screen. A while after that a 4 door version was released.

Quite a few got built and used as wedding cars for hire IIRC. Haven't seen one for ages.

There isn't a separate chassis on a Sierra! A Beauford has a new chassis and may well use Sierra parts eg suspension brakes etc. I think some had Nissan running gear (or maybe just the engine and gearbox).

They have their own ladder chassis, but use Cortina or Sierra for stuff like suspension. Originally the body tub, not just the doors, was mini.

So did we - not sure it went down too well with my In-laws (a kit car you know!)
