ive a ak 427, gen 1, and having trouble with the handbrake ( jaguar xjs ) were is the adjustment and also were is the warning light switch located, thanks in advance, geof

Above the Brake Pedal under the dash is from memory the location of the XJS brake switch . As regards adjustment Its my belief they are self adjusting by pulling the handbrake up and down several times . Failing that I would be assuming the cables had perhaps stretched . There should be plenty about this issue on the various Jaguar Forums .

Adjustment is usually near the handbrake and on the rear calipers, not an easy job if yours has the Jag rear end assembly.
Switch should be on the handbrake itself but some kits don't utilise one.

The micro switch is on the back of the Jag fly off handbrake.
There is cable adjustment at the handbrake (rarely the issue).
On the handbrake mech there is a very large screw with a split pin, remove pin, tighten, replace pin
