It might be stretching your definition a bit, but there's the V-Storm, which uses a Subaru flat-4 with its longitudinal transaxle.

I'm assuming the OP means longitudinal mid-engined, not front engined, though?

Ultima ?
Engine in front of rear wheels so mid engined i guess.
Can't say ive seen any non V6/8 /10 ultimas tho.
My sons is an SBC on fitech using upside down porsche transaxle.
It all works rather well !

Yes I am talking mid-engine. I have a Ferrari 360 drive train i picked up a long time ago out of a wrecked challenge car.
