Nova (Not a Vauxhall)

I am thinking about getting a second hand Nova as a fun vehicle because I love the way they look, the hydraulic roof/doors and the fact that they are pretty cheap just now.

Obviously the engines aren't very powerful, but does anyone have any experience of what they are like to drive, run etc??

Regarding lack of power, air-cooled VW engines can be fitted with larger barrels etc to take them out to over 2 litres, which with other tuning gear should make a Nova pretty quick.

I saw a few Nova's at the Malvern Kit car show earlier this year and one had a 911 mill. I should imagine that would be fairly rapid!
