Ford Type 9 gearbox question.

Hi.

In the back of the workshop I have found a Ford Type 9 gearbox (casting no 839T 7006) that I have had for at least 25 years.

Somebody I know has asked to buy it but I have no idea what it's worth. Prices on ebay appear to be all over the place.

Any ideas on a ball park figure?

If it's in good condition and could be used without rebuilding, or with just fluid, gasket change then I'd say about £300 ish.

If it's worse, less.

If it's got any desirable modifications, like a longer first gear, alloy maincase, uprated internals etc., then probably more like up to £1k ish.
