Hi guys im running a Tiger S6 with a 2l Pinto 205 block.

in an effort to reduce weight i looking at removing the heater matrix, however after a morning of trawling the interweb on the subject im left with a bit of confusion on how best to do this, there seems to be some difference of opinion on whether you can just blank off the pipe outlets that feed the heater or whether you need to keep the pipe loop in place...does anyone have the definitive answer for this?

thanks.

Probably not much help, but when I ran my old Mini with no heater I joined the pipes together so water was still flowing through the loop.

If you are still using auto-choke, you will need to run the exit pipe from this to the pump.
If not run a pipe from inlet manifold to pump.

Thanks Guys, im running bike carbs so no water cooling on the manifold , so therefore would i just run a pipe from the pump straight into the block like this diagram?

If you want to reduce weight then ditch the whole engine. It's been decades since I built a Super 6 but I built mine with a 2lt Zetec and no heater (or windscreen for that matter) and I think it ended up at about 640kg.

yeah i would like to do something like that eventually but for the moment im just looking at cheap simple ways of nibbling away at the weight by getting rid of unnecessary things, a whole engine swap is something is something for the future!
