Comparing cars, Sylva Fury, MK based 7s etc
Discussion
My longer term plans I think may be to have a road registered but track oriented car thinking of Sylva Fury but have never had any experience of them, weight up against having a newer 7 style MK Indy car but either will probably be BEC based.
( currently building a race car I happen to have which is fun but I think that is my longer term goal)
Anyone with experience of the Furys vs MK Indys confirm whether I might be better keeping to the MKs rather than a Fury. I know absolutely nothing about them and have never been in one but something about them really intrigues me.

If you look at the early day of the 750MC RGB racing championship where at the time every one was using identical Fireblade engines, the Fury’s pretty much destroyed all the Westfields, 7’esques and even the odd Caterham. Above 100mph the aerodynamics took over, and the bricks stood no chance.... That series at the time was a great demonstration of chassis v chassis.
I’ve never been in or driven an MK, but as a one-sided recommendation would definitely encourage you to look at a Fury or any of the similar (/related) cars like Striker, Phoenix etc.
I had a Fury (Spyder version with aero screen) for a number of years and have driven a number of others; like any car they can be built or set up very well or badly, but they are very simple and the basics are right so you can’t go far wrong. They look pretty, drive brilliantly and there are enough around that neither help nor parts should be an issue.

MK do a good range.
They have the Striker, probably the most focused 7 type.
Also the Phoenix. But have taken over the AB Performance Arion. This was designed & improved through its life as just a bike engined car.
Silteck Racing probably do the best suspension set up & now a 7 style chassis, if handling is to of your list. They also of course make the Stylus with improved suspension.
Maybe talking to either of these may help you, as they know both styles in depth.

I have seen threads about certain models being superior to others - having driven numerous kitcars over the years for road use they all handle superbly IME
If tenths on a circuit matter to you then you need to see which cars are winning on track but I'd just see what's available in your budget and go from there
