What's this thing on eBay?

Mid engined thingy, alfa badges? Seems to be getting a lot of bids for a non-runner, non registered project.

Ooh, interesting...
It's not one I recognise, and the fact that it's listed as being with body moulds suggests that it's a one-off.
The engine and transaxle appears to be Alfa 33 (the horrible boxy hatchback, not the V8 race car, sadly), and the wheels are Alfa too (AlfaSud Sprint).
The plenum on the engine is non-standard, though, I think - and it's not quite a good enough photo, but if that's an intercooler at the top right corner of the engine bay, maybe it's turbocharged?

Side view I'd have said a Bonito
But then I got to thinking there was a VW based car in the early 1970's but I cannot recall it's name. The rear buttresses were similar but not the front.as it had fixed headlights IIRC
There were two VW based cars features in an edition of Hot Bra one was called a Sillouette (spelling?) think the other began with a C. Not one of those charger things.
